Family Camp Information

The purpose of Wild + Free is to inspire wonder and a passion for nature and adventure in our children and to celebrate all the beautiful and different ways of educating our children to become lifelong learners. We can't think of a better way to do this than by hosting a Wild + Free weekend at Young Life's Family Camp at Trail West in Colorado on August 25-27, 2017. Come and join us!

Pricing For the Family Camp

Here is the pricing for the Wild + Free Family Camp weekend, which includes lodging for Friday and Saturday nights, along with your meals, camp programming, materials and activities:

  • Adults (ages 12+) - $249 per person
  • Children (ages 1-11) - $199 per person
  • Infants (under 1) - Free

We offer a monthly payment plan leading up to the family camp for those who are interested. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please select this option on our Sign-Up page. For monthly payments, we'll divide the amount due by the number of months until June 30, 2017.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are permitted before April 30, 2017 with a 50% refund. After this date, cancellations are non-refundable. We have this policy to cover our loss in the event we can't fill a room because it was previously reserved.

We'll release a detailed schedule of the weekend's activities closer to the event. But here's a general schedule to help you know what's in store for us:

Friday, August 25

3:00 PM - Check-in and free time to explore
6:00 PM - Dinner together in the dining hall
7:00 PM - Opening night session in the Club Room
9:00 PM - Movie in the lobby of the Main Lodge

Saturday, August 26
8:00 AM - Breakfast together in the dining hall
9:30 AM - Rodeo games for the whole family in the Corral
11:00 AM - Morning Session in the Club Room
12:00 PM - Lunch together in the dining hall
1:00 PM - Free time (ropes course, pony rides, pool, game room, etc)
6:00 PM - Dinner together in the dining hall
7:00 PM - "Western Night" in the Aspen Grove
9:00 PM - Movie in the lobby of the Main Lodge

Sunday, August 27
8:00 AM - Breakfast together in the dining hall
9:00 AM - Clean up and check out
11:00 AM - Morning Session in the Club Room
12:00 PM - Depart from the camp

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE AT FAMILY CAMP?

Last year, we filled the camp with 60 families, totaling about 200 people in all. This year, we're making room for 8 more families by opening the Dorm Rooms and Red Deer Chalet.

Do You Offer Scholarships?

Because of the cost of renting the entire Trail West Family Camp, we regret that we cannot offer scholarships. But we do offer monthly payment plans leading up to the event.

Can We Save Money By Bringing Our RV or Camper?

Our financial arrangement with Trail West Lodge is based on the housing at the camp. We regret that we cannot offer this option. We recommend requesting the Family Dorms.

When Can We Arrive at Family Camp?

We'll be ready to greet you starting at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 25.

When Do We Have to Depart?

Family Camp is officially over at 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 27.

What Are the Evening Sessions?

We're going to host a fun-filled, entertaining and heart-felt time together each evening of the event. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the camp. But we want to be intentional with our time together and create meaningful sessions filled with stories, music and talks.

Can We Cancel our Registration?

You can cancel your registration until April 30, 2017 with a 50% refund. After April 30, we are unable to refund cancellations. We have this policy to cover our loss in the event we can't fill a room because it was previously reserved.
